Winter Welcome

Happy New Year! As we get deeper into winter’s frosty grip, a little Logan food and service is the perfect antidote! Delicious comfort food, a glass of wine, and watch the folks outside scurry to their cars. It’ll fix what ails you…

Winter Break

Just to remind you, we'll be closed for our winter break from January 1st until January 8th. We're returning for our normal hours on Tuesday, January 9th. Thank you, and we’ll see you all when we get back!

Ann Arbor Restaurant Week

Reservations are filling very quickly for Restaurant Week, which, at Logan, runs from Tuesday, January 16th through January 19th. For these 4 days, we'll be serving a three-course menu for just $28! As always, we'll also be offering a special wine flight to accompany this menu. Just a reminder: during this promotion, our regular menu will not be available. It returns on Saturday, January 20th.

Valentine’s Day at Logan

It’s nearly time for Logan’s 14th Valentine’s Day celebration! Not surprisingly, reservations are going fast, but we do want to let folks know what will be happening here that night. As always, we'll be offering a special five-course menu, and our regular menu gets the night off.

The menu will be $70, and there will be a choice of two different wine flights chosen to accompany it. The first flight, The Contemporary, features wines that are a little more festive and fun, and is $35. The second flight, The Classic, features more famous and exclusive wines, and is $50.

In either case, you’ll start with a delicious sparkling wine with your first course, and each of the following courses being paired with a half-glass of wine. Each flight will be about equal to a half bottle of wine. We hope to see you here!

Happy Birthday, Logan!

It hardly seems possible, but our little restaurant is turning 13 on November 17th. We’d like to think we're starting to get the hang of this. It certainly has been humbling. What an amazingly eye-opening experience it has been to share the intimate lives of the people of Ann Arbor. It's a gift to be with you in the best of times and, also, sometimes, in the worst.

Thank you for being a part of this amazing cultural tapestry that you call Logan, but we call work. Let us express our forever appreciation for your continued support, you're absolutely the reason we're still privileged to be here.

We’re now on RESO

Hello to everyone looking for us on Open Table! We’re still here, but we’ve moved, at least online. We now are on RESO! It’s a new internet company that reserves tables, and we think it's a better fit for small, independent restaurants like ours. We expect you’ll find it equally convenient, and reservations already made through Open Table have been transferred to our new system and will be honored. Visit us at logan-resturant.com/reservations to book a table right on our website!

New Menu Items!

The season is changing, and it’s time to update our menu! Chef Thad has been working diligently to create several totally new dishes, such as a feta cheese and cherry salad, dressed with an herbed lemon vinaigrette, and garnished with duck cracklings. There is a completely new salmon entrée, utilizing Scottish salmon, bamboo-scented rice, brown butter-lime broccolini, and an amazing sauce of miso and Korean mustard.

Quail was added to our menu, served with a stunning roasted chicken-black garlic reduction sauce, miso-chili braised rapini, seared oyster mushrooms, and gruyere mashed potatoes.

There’s a new vegan dish, Samosas; crispy pastry pockets, filled with potatoes, preserved lemon, peas, and caraway seeds, served with a roasted eggplant, tamarind, and chick pea sauce.

All have been well received so far, and we have been coming up with some great wine pairings to accompany them. In addition to these new items, Chef has also redone several existing dishes, such as the gnocchi, the short ribs, and our shrimp entrée, and added new items to the offering of sides, as well. There’s so much to check out!

Chef’s Garden Spot

Though this has been a kind of slow growing season thus far this year, the late, unseasonably warm conditions are helping to make up lost time. Great heirloom tomatoes and peaches have been coming in, and we look forward to some autumnal bounty. Next month, we are planning to do a dinner event centering on the garden; keep reading our newsletters for details!
