April 2018 Newsletter Logan Restaurant

Welcome Sping!

Though we’re still feeling the last icy caress of Winter, the signs of a dawning Spring are undeniable. The days are getting longer. The Sun is higher. Everything is stirring; awakening. The life force returns, and nature provides her first gifts. Ramps and morels emerge, and we enjoy their bounty. This is always an exciting season for our kitchen when we finally can source the best of local produce as it becomes available. Don’t miss out on our special appetizers, entrees, and tasting menus throughout the month to see what we’ve found!

Appreciating Women Winemakers

Thank you all for making March’s Celebration of Women Winemakers a great success! The wines were spectacular, and your response was inspiring. But, to be honest, every month here is a celebration of gifted women, and we’re showing that by continuing our promotion through April 12th. As March progressed, we just kept finding more wines, and coming up with memorable food pairings. All that is still available, if you did miss out… There’s still time!

Coming Soon: Mana!

Chef Thad and Ryan are busy preparing for their next project: Mana! It will be a place where you can enjoy the flavors you’ve come to love at Logan, but in a more affordable, casual setting. The menu will be focused on Asian inspired sandwiches and custom “build your own” bowls that you’ll create by choosing from a menu of proteins, sauces, and accompaniments. Menu work continues; we’ll provide more details as the opening nears. Mana will be located on Liberty, in the Downtown Home & Garden building. Construction has begun at the new location, and work should be completed in the next few months. However, an opening date is still TBA. Stay tuned!

So Long, Vogel's Lock & Safe…

We're sad to see our neighbors, Vogel’s Lock & Safe, close after 105 years of serving Ann Arbor. Though we only knew them for the last 14 years or so, we'll remember the “burger days” with them when we still did lunch, the great deals we got on our safes, and all our many UPS deliveries that they received by mistake and returned to us. Happy trails Vogel's, you’ll be sincerely missed.
